Additional - We are again experiencing thefts from vehicles in our community.  We are working hard to prevent this type of activity, but we really need the help of our residents.  Please do not leave any property (purses, wallets, money, laptops, etc.) in your vehicle, whether it is locked or not!  Thieves don’t care whether the car is locked.  They easily can break the window and be out of the area in seconds.  When they steal your wallet or purse they have access to all kinds of personal information and identification.  Identity theft is a huge and common crime, please don’t help them make you a victim.

     School is out and summer is here.  Community Officer Geoff Rochester wrote a great article regarding “Pocket  Bikes” in the American Canyon Echo.  Due to the availability and affordability of the popular bikes we are experiencing a lot of calls regarding people riding them on the streets.   Pocket Bikes are illegal to ride on city streets.  We are asking parents to find a safe place for their kids to ride these bikes.  The bikes are not only illegal, but also dangerous to ride on the streets because of their size.  When appropriate, offenders will be cited.
